My Story

About Me

I’m a Michigander, raised in Brighton along with my two older siblings. After visiting the local rollerskating rink one Saturday afternoon, I started on an amazing journey with eight tiny wheels under my feet. From student, to judge, to coach, I embraced the sport of artistic rollerskating. The friendships I made during those years will always hold a special place in my heart. A highlight of my career was when I won the gold medal in Intermediate Ladies Figures at the USA Rollersports National Competition in Lincoln, Nebraska.

One day, on a crisp day after a snowstorm, I watched a snowplow bury my car just moments after shoveling a way clear to leave for work. By the end of that year, I had arranged a work transfer to our Florida office. Leaving my winter coat and mittens behind, I arrived in Florida the week between Christmas and New Year. After living in Tampa then Spring Hill, I settled in central Florida where I live today with my family.

I enjoy being active and am always looking for the next glorious adventure. From getting my black belt in Tae Kwon Do to joining Wild Garden Bellydance performance troupes Blue Caravan and Black V, or tumbling around in an adult gymnastics class, I look for physical and mental challenges to grow and enrich my life. I’m proud to have been a scare actor in Busch Garden’s Howl-O-Scream haunted house The Experiment and a cast member, Belphegor (Reborn), in MetroCon’s Anime Human Chess. The beautiful souls I found through these experiences taught me how to keep my inner child alive.

As a booklover, I read everything from classics, to thrillers, or historical fiction, but fantasy is my favorite genre. You might find me online playing video games or enjoying a relaxing afternoon playing a board game with my family.
